Habit tracker
A free habit tracker that gives your habits a place in the day.
Most habit trackers are a list of checkboxes. You tick them at night, or you forget, and the streak breaks. Habyss is a free habit tracker for iPhone that does something different: it puts each habit on your timeline, at a time, next to your tasks, meals and calendar events, so the habit actually happens.
Add a habit in one sentence
Type it the way you would say it. “Gym Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 6, 45 minutes” becomes a habit called Gym, on those three days, at 6 pm, for 45 minutes. The parsing happens on your iPhone, works offline, and shows you anything it had to guess so you can correct it.
Habits can repeat daily, on weekdays, weekly, or on the days you pick. They can be a simple yes or no, or measured: minutes read, glasses of water, kilometres run, pages written.
Streaks that survive a bad day
A habit tracker that resets you to zero after one missed day teaches you to quit. Habyss has streak freezes: a freeze covers a missed day so the run you built survives it. Friends can gift you one.
Keep every habit and task you promised yourself for seven days in a row and everything you keep counts double. The multiplier keeps rising each week, up to ×10.
Every habit earns Marks
Keeping a habit earns 5 Marks; keeping a task earns 10, because tasks are the harder promise. Marks move you through ten ranks, from Lost to Eternal, and place you in a league with people at the same level. It is the part of the app that makes progress visible on the days it does not feel like progress.
Reminders that arrive at the right moment
Each habit can remind you at its time, or when you arrive somewhere, such as home or the gym. Habits show in widgets, on the Lock Screen, and on Apple Watch, so checking one off takes a second.
Free, private, and built for iPhone
Every feature is free during the beta. Your habits are stored on your iPhone, and Echo, the coach that spots your patterns, runs on the phone too. Android, Mac and Windows are coming.
Questions
Is Habyss a free habit tracker?
Yes. Every feature is free during the beta, with no ads. If that changes at the App Store launch, it will be said plainly before you pay anything.
Does Habyss work on Android?
Not yet. Habyss is on iPhone first; Android, Mac and Windows are coming. You can join the waitlist on the homepage.
Can I track habits with numbers, not just checkmarks?
Yes. A habit can be measured in minutes, hours, times, or any unit you name, with a daily target.
